History

History: Since the establishment of Tainan Science-based Industrial Park, technology development in the City of Tainan has expanded by leaps and bounds, thanks to the Park's clustering effect and booming industrial growth along the River South Region. In acknowledging the demands of industrial development in the Region, and in a move to stimulate and diversify land use purposes of areas surrounding YongKang Incineration Plant, the Tainan City Government began to process the application and designation of Yongkang Technology Industrial Park in 2004....

Milestones

September 28, 1995 : The former Tainan County Government presented an environmental impact report of the park's construction to the Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs; the report was sent to the Environmental Protection Administration for review.

August 28, 1996 : Environmental Impact Assessment Review Committee of the Environmental Protection Administration resolved during the 144th meeting, to conditionally approve of the project's environmental impact assessment report....

Location

1.The park's north and south sides are bordered by Taiwan Provincial Highway #1 and #20. The east side is bounded by an underpass of the Taiwan High Speed Rail. Its west side is about 2.5 kilometers from Yongkang Interchange of Freeway 1; its north side is also situated approximately 2.5 kilometers from Sinshih Interchange of Freeway 8....
